Garden Railway visit 3rd July 2019.
12 Members attended the July Meeting at Mike and Sue Lambourne’s home. For those of us who had never been to Lower Frankton it was not the easiest place to find, but the effort was more than repaid by the warm welcome we received from Mike and Sue at their beautiful home on a warm, sunny summer evening.
The Main attraction for ASRM Members was the garden railway which runs on a slightly raised level forming a complete circuit around the main part of the garden, which itself was once a dry dock serving the Montgomery Canal. Hot drinks were provided by Mike and Sue, the Association providing cakes and cold drinks, and Sam Ryan rounded it all off with a selection of pork pies and quiche from Ryans of Much Wenlock.
All in all, a most enjoyable evening.
A huge vote of thanks to our Secretary, Nick Coppin, for organising the evening, and to Mike and Sue Lambourne for being such welcoming hosts.
Again thanks also to Sam Ryan for taking the photos and a short video clip of the event.
